MAISON DELAROM Paris: Where Mediterranean Essence Meets Modern Expertise

Paris during design and fashion season moves quickly — and that means all year round.

One moment you are walking through Matter and Shape at the Jardin des Tuileries; the next, crossing the Passerelle Léopold-Sédar-Senghor towards Rive Gauche for a moment of recalibration before another appointment. It was in precisely this rhythm that I found myself at Spa Delarom, a discreet new spa in Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

The house, Maison Delarom, has quietly opened its first Parisian address, combining boutique and treatment space within a refined setting. Design is considered, yes – but it never takes precedence over expertise.

Still relatively under the radar, this is an address for those who know where to look.

First Impressions: A Measured and Sensory Space

MAISON DELAROM brings together premium aromatherapy, nutricosmetics and advanced diagnostic technology, where an AI-assisted skin consultation personalises each treatment plan. What distinguishes this new Saint-Germain address is not the technology alone, however, it is the coherence of the protocols. Each treatment and product has been developed in-house, ensuring that formulation, philosophy and manual technique remain in close dialogue.

On arrival at the spa, a subtle citrus note fills the air. Natural light filters through the welcome area, where a consultation form begins the process. Textured walls, stone surfaces and touches of rattan create a warm environment that serves as a retreat from the pace of the city outside. Clients can also discover the brand’s skincare collections within the same space, formulated largely from precious botanicals.

The brand centres itself around what it calls the art of caring for better-ageing — a philosophy that draws together sensorial ritual and a more scientific understanding of skin and body. The house is led by Frédéric Durand-Salmon, a multi-entrepreneur with more than three decades of experience in medical research, telemedicine and digital health, bringing scientific rigour to wellness while keeping natural Mediterranean essences at the heart of the offer.

The Drainage Massage: Precision and Profound Pressure

My experience began with the Drainage Massage, a 60-minute body protocol designed to stimulate circulation and support lymphatic flow. Deep breathing guided the opening sequence, allowing the body to settle.

The pressure was profound, creating a deep release through the muscles and connective tissue. It is something I had indicated on the consultation form, yet it remains surprisingly rare to find a spa that genuinely delivers it — which made it all the more appreciated here.

The massage oil, from the MD&Me collection, blends Corsican hazelnut, apricot, prickly pear and sweet almond: rich yet fluid, leaving the skin nourished without heaviness. And unlike the sometimes light, repetitive sequences encountered at less considered spas, this protocol is orchestrated. Movements are layered and choreographed, building in sequence rather than circling in place.

The result is a sensation of lightness, coupled with a tangible feeling of internal recalibration.

The Éclat Naturel Facial: Aromatherapy Meets Skin Intelligence

Having moved through the body treatment, my skin was receptive to what followed (and as Malissa Nhouyvanisvong of All Skins Paris shared in Paris Wellness Review, the skin is rarely truly receptive unless the body has first been soothed).

The Éclat Naturel facial began with a gentle gel cleanser enriched with aloe vera, rose and rosemary hydrolats, combined with essential oils of rosemary, bergamot and red mandarin. Fresh and subtly citrusy, it purifies the skin while grounding the senses.

A delicate toning lotion followed, restoring balance and hydration before the facial massage itself. Combining kobido and drainage techniques, the gestures remain precise and structured — echoing the technical quality of the body work that preceded it.

    Results: Drainage, Lightness and Glow

The effects were genuinely visible. My complexion was clearer and more luminous; the contours of my face appeared more defined, with a noticeable reduction in puffiness. It was the kind of glow that tends to follow real lymphatic work — not a surface radiance, but something that comes from proper circulation.

I think this came from the synergy of experiencing both treatments together. The body massage stimulates lymphatic flow systemically; the facial amplifies the effect locally. Each protocol is complete in its own right, but there is something more whole about the two in sequence — the body had been prepared to receive what the face then delivered.

Clarence, the practitioner who guided the session, was central to this. It is one thing for a brand to articulate a vision of holistic care; it is another for a practitioner to embody it through the hands. In this case, the translation from concept to gesture felt seamless.

A Spa for Travellers, Creatives and Those in the Know

The location in Saint-Germain gives the spa a particular rhythm. Frequent visitors to Paris — especially those here for design, art or fashion — will find it an ideal point of recalibration between appointments. The district has long been associated with intellectual and artistic life, and MAISON DELAROM sits quietly within that ecosystem.

On the day of my visit, I walked directly from Matter and Shape’s third edition at the Jardin des Tuileries — a salon I return to each year — to the treatment room. Afterwards, I continued to the Sophie Bille Brahe showroom during Paris Fashion Week, just ten minutes away. It was productive, stimulating and restorative all at once.

    A Confidential Address in Saint-Germain

MAISON DELAROM represents a quieter, increasingly relevant direction in the Paris wellness scene: smaller, human-scaled environments where scientific tools, aromatherapy and highly skilled practitioners coexist without overshadowing the fundamental craft of touch.

As Paris continues to evolve as a centre for longevity, beauty and holistic living, addresses like this reveal a more intimate side of the city’s wellness landscape. A place I would absolutely return to.
